Wat zijn F1 hybride zaden en wat maakt ze speciaal?
The F1 Hybrid is a cannabis variety in which the plants are identical and have the exact same characteristics.
Think of hybrids as a group of plants that have the same uniformity as cuttings but are grown as seeds.
Plants from the same hybrid variety will always show the same height, leaf colour, structure, cannabinoid content, as well as other plant traits.
The F1 Hybrid seeds are the result of crossing two pure lines, known as inbred lines, that are uniform and stable. When these inbred lines are crossed, a phenomenon called heterosis, or hybrid vigour, occurs.
This effect makes the F1 Hybrid plants bigger, more robust, and better able to overcome adverse growing conditions.
The major benefits of the F1 Hybrids include greater consistency within a crop, increased plant vigour, greater yield, higher cannabinoid content, and a faster maturation period.
